National Police Chief: Guaranteed Personnel Welfare Resulting In More Optimal Tasks
JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said that his party is targeting to improve the welfare of police personnel so that they are more optimal in carrying out their duties and serving the community.
"Ensuring the welfare of the National Police, especially in meeting basic needs, will certainly make members more optimal in carrying out their duties," said Sigit in a Working Meeting with Commission III of the DPR, quoted by Antara, Monday, January 24.
The National Police will improve the welfare of personnel towards a precise Police in 2022 through housing and health programs.
Regarding the housing program, Sigit said that his party is targeting 10,000 private housing units for police personnel by 2022. Meanwhile, related to the health program, there are several hospitals that will be built or receive repairs.
Such as upgrading four level III Bhayangkara Hospitals to level II, each located in Palembang, Jambi, Brimob Kelapa Dua, and the School Formation of Officers (Setukpa), then establishing two new level IV Bhayangkara hospitals in Sespim Lemdiklat Polri and Papua.
In addition, the National Police also announced the transition of the Bhayangkara Kepri Hospital from a non-BLU to a BLU or Public Service Agency.
Another target of the National Police in 2022 related to the health program is the construction of the Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Surakarta.
"In order to ensure the welfare of Polri members, currently there are 876 members of Polri's extended family who have received educational support from the Ministry of SOEs," he continued.

Not only improving services through personnel welfare guarantees, but Sigit also said that his party had modernized police facilities and infrastructure.
“The fulfillment of police facilities and infrastructure aims to improve police services to the community. In the future, facilities and infrastructure will continue to be developed, adjusted to the characteristics and challenges in their respective regions," said the National Police Chief.
