Have A Stock Of 40 Thousand Liters, The Head Of The Office Ensures That The Cooking Oil Of IDR 14 Thousand In Samarinda Is Safe For Up To 6 Months

KALTIM - Head of the East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) HM Yadi Robyan Noor, Head of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs, said the supply of 40.000 liters of cooking oil for Samarinda City is sufficient until Eid al-Fitr and the next six months.

"The distribution is gradual, how many today will it be tomorrow. It can't be done right away, today there will be a crowd that has the potential to spread COVID-19," said Roby in Samarinda as quoted by Antara, Friday, January 21.

He added that the government through the Minister of Trade had also instructed that the price per liter of cooking oil was IDR 14.000. "That is for all packaged brands. But for the non-packaged ones, in the next 10 days it will have to be IDR 14.000 per liter," he said.

Robyan also asked the public to report to his party if the price of cooking oil did not comply with government policy.

This is because the government is responsible for serving the people in ensuring the supply of cooking oil at an affordable price.

"The price of cooking oil of IDR 14.000 per liter will be easier to distribute if there is a modern market. For traditional or people's markets it is still difficult, but believe me, the government is here to help immediately," he said.

According to Robyan, three regions in East Kalimantan namely Balikpapan, Samarinda, and Kutai Kartanegara received the assistance first because they are agglomeration areas.

"This means that the three areas have easy access. All regencies and cities will definitely get the same cooking oil price of Rp. 14,000 per liter, we guarantee that" he said.
