Doctor Suspected Of Injecting Empty Vaccine To Elementary School Students In Medan Apologizes For Mistake, Police Have Not Determined His Status

MEDAN - The allegation of giving empty vaccines to elementary school students in the city of Medan is still being investigated. The doctor who injected the students during the vaccination apologized.

The police have revealed the identity of the doctor who allegedly injected the blank vaccine into the student during vaccination at Wahidin Elementary School, Medan Labuhan District, Medan City. The female doctor works in a private hospital.

North Sumatra Police Crime Director, Kombes Tatan Dirsan Atmaja said the female doctor who became the vaccinator had the initials G and worked in a private hospital.

However, Kombes Tatan has not detailed whether the injected vaccine is actually empty. He said the investigation was still ongoing.

According to him, to make sure the vaccine is empty or not, it will be tested in a forensic laboratory first. Likewise with the determination of the status of the doctor's investigation, G.

"We are still in the investigation stage by involving several experts, then involving several laboratories", said Kombes Tatan at the Belawan Harbor Police Headquarters, Friday, January 21.

Kombes Tatan said that at this time the police had collected several pieces of evidence.

"The evidence we confiscated, used syringes, the activities of the vaccine, an agenda book related to the list of children being vaccinated, then video recordings", he said.

Meanwhile, when presented at the meeting, Doctor G apologized for the alleged case of injecting empty vaccines to elementary school students in Medan.

"To the police, to the public, to IDI North Sumatra and IDI Medan, I apologize for the mistake I made", said G.

However, G did not give the reason when asked by reporters about the chronology of allegedly injecting empty vaccines for elementary school students in Medan. Doctor G immediately rushed to the investigator's room.
