Leeds Must Miss Bamford Longer, Bielsa: There's Another Problem In His Leg
JAKARTA - Leeds must be patient a little longer to wait for the return of Patrick Bamford. Their top scorer last season was experiencing obstacles in the process of recovery from injury.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of hosting Newcastle United on Saturday, manager Marcelo Bielsa stated that Bamford had a problem with his leg after being sidelined for a long time with a hamstring injury.
Bamford last featured in a Premier League match against Brentford which ended in a 2-2 draw in early December, having previously also suffered an ankle injury.
"He's gone through a muscle injury, but now there's another problem in his lower leg," Bielsa said.
Bielsa did not reveal how long Bamford would have to be out of action, considering that this season the 28-year-old striker has only appeared in six Premier League games.
