COVID-19 Update As Of January 20: Increasing, New Cases 2,116
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 326,114 specimens were examined with the results of 2,116 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,277,644 people and active cases rose by 1,532 to 12,328 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, January 20.
Today's recovered cases increased by 577 cases, bringing the total to 4,121,117 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and the total was 144,199 people.
The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 1,155 cases and a total of 874,259 cases. Followed by West Java with 401 new cases with a total of 10,708 cases. Banten has 276 new cases and a total of 134,202 cases. Then, East Java with 89 new cases and a total of 400,557 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 437 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an increase of 35 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 26 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 24 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 68,527,332.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent", it wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,346 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 179,153,744 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 122,378,266 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,353,395. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
