Good News, There Are 276 Patients Infected With Omicron In Indonesia Who Have Recovered
JAKARTA - Government Spokesperson for Handling COVID-19, Reisa Broto Asmoro said, 276 patients infected with the Omicron variant in Indonesia had been declared cured until Friday (14/1) yesterday.
"As of January 18, 2022, 882 Omicron COVID-19 patients have been identified, whereas of January 14, it was known that 276 after isolation were declared cured," said Reisa Broto Asmoro when delivering a press statement followed by the Presidential Secretariat YouTube in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 19.
Reisa said the number of other variants of COVID-19 patients who were also declared cured as of Tuesday (18/1) amounted to 564 patients bringing the total national recovery to 4.1 million patients since the pandemic hit Indonesia in March 2020.
He said the government also guaranteed the availability of COVID-19 antiviral drugs in the country to anticipate the next wave of SARS CoV 2 that causes COVID-19.
"One of them is by preparing new antiviral drugs, namely Molnupiravir and Paxlovid, where the Ministry of Health has secured 400.000 Molnupiravir tablets that have been prepared by PT Amarox," he said as quoted by Antara.
The Ambassador for the Adaptation of New Habits hopes that all of the drug needs can be produced domestically in April or May 2022.
"This progress is one of the encouragements for all of us to continue to be able to overcome this pandemic," he said.
