Garuda Indonesia Ready To Fly The 2022 Hajj Pilgrims, Obeying Saudi Arabian Government Regulations
JAKARTA - The national airline Garuda Indonesia ensures that the operational readiness of Hajj flights in 2022 refers to the provisions and policies of the Government of Saudi Arabia.
President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, stated his commitment to provide air connectivity to the Holy Land for prospective Indonesian pilgrims through safe and comfortable flight services in this new normal era.
"We have prepared the operational aspects of the fleet for Hajj flights as early as possible. We also continue to coordinate with various relevant stakeholders to ensure the readiness and smooth running of the Hajj journey for all prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims," Irfan said in his statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Irfan said Garuda Indonesia ensured that the fleet that would be used to carry out the hajj flight services was airworthy and serviceable, including ensuring the consistency of the implementation of health protocols in all operational lines.
Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia also continues to coordinate intensively with relevant authorities, particularly the Ministry of Religion, to ensure that all Hajj flight requirements can be met and the Ministry of Transportation in ensuring the fulfillment of the airworthiness aspect of all fleets.

Irfan added that currently, Garuda Indonesia has prepared a number of wide-body aircraft to serve the 2022 Hajj flights, including the B777-300 ER to the A330-300.
"The number of fleets that will be used, of course, we will also align with the projected quota of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims which will be set by the Government of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, we will continue to coordinate and communicate intensively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the accessibility and needs of Hajj flight services. can be fulfilled optimally," he said.
