Impact Of Omicron Variant, 'Morbius' Release Date Is Postponed Again

JAKARTA - The production house Sony Pictures has again postponed the release schedule of Morbius in 2022. Previously, this film was scheduled to be released at the end of this month but was postponed to three months.

According to a Variety report, this delay is related to the high number of COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant in the United States recently. They were worried that this incident would have an impact on Morbius.

This delay has been going on for a long time. Initially, Morbius was scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2020, then March 19, 2021. Towards the March date, the film was again postponed to October 8, 2021, then January 21, 2022.

After that, the date was pushed back to January 28, 2022, until it was postponed again to April 1, 2022.

Morbius tells the story of Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) who turns into a vampire after trying to heal himself. He does research and cures his illness but one situation changes his circumstances.
