Moving The National Capital, Momentum For Equitable Development, Zulkifli Hasan Is Very Supportive

SAMARINDA - Deputy Chairperson of the MPR, Zulkifli Hasan, said that the transfer of the national capital (IKN) from DKI Jakarta to East Kalimantan was the right momentum for equitable development in Indonesia.

He explained that with the new IKN there would be a new balance, so the development program did not only occur in the Java region, but also in Kalimantan and the eastern region.

"God willing, the IKN Law will be completed in January 2022. I really support it, there are indeed some parties who don't support it due to the pandemic, but I hope that as soon as possible, East Kalimantan, which is rich in resources and has contributed greatly to Indonesia's development, can prosper its people," he said, in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, December 28.

He stated this at the inauguration of the East Kalimantan Indonesian Student Regiment Alumni Association (IARMI) DPP management for the 2020-2024 period in the Ruhui Rahayu Multipurpose Room, 1st floor of the East Kalimantan Governor's Office.

On that occasion, he who is also the chairman of the IARMI DPP inaugurated the IARMI Kaltim DPP board for the 2020-2024 period, chaired by Irianto Lambrie.

On that occasion, the commander of the Mulawarman Student Regiment for the 2021-2024 period, Abdul Azis, witnessed by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor, Deputy Chair of Commission III of the DPR, Pangeran Khairul Saleh, Deputy Chairs of the East Kalimantan DPRD, Seno Aji, and Sigit Wibowo, and Deputy Mayor of Samarinda, Rusmadi Wongso.

To the ranks of the IARMI East Kalimantan DPP management and Aziz who has been inaugurated, he hopes that they can become pioneers and examples in maintaining balance, as well as strengthening the unity and integrity of Indonesia, especially in East Kalimantan which has been designated as Indonesia's new IKN.

"IARMI Kaltim and Komenwa Mulawarman here play a role to help local governments and the community, with all their might. So that the main goal of development can be realized, namely equitable distribution of community welfare," he hoped.

Noor is proud and happy because East Kalimantan has Hasan as the general chairman of the DPN ARMI as well as the deputy chairman of the MPR and general chairman of the DPP of the National Mandate Party.

"Hopefully the inauguration of the DPP IARMI Kaltim and Danmenwa Mulawarman will benefit from the value and blessings of Allah Subhanahu wata'ala, as well as make a big and good contribution to the region and its people," he said.

He explained that East Kalimantan was chosen as Indonesia's new IKN after going through a long process by the central government, especially President Joko Widodo.
