In The Helicopter Handover Event In Semarang, The Deputy Minister Of Defense Affirms That The TNI's Alutsista Must Be Well Treated

JAKARTA - Deputy Defense Minister Lt. Gen. TNI M Herindra said the TNI's Main Weapon System (Alutsista) equipment must be utilized and maintained as well as possible, one of which is by carrying out maintenance.

"This is to increase the operational readiness of the TNI and realize a 'zero accident'," said the Deputy Minister of Defense in his remarks at the Signing of the Handover Minutes and symbolically handed over Two Bell 412-EP Helicopter Units HA-5181 and HA-5182 which had finished overhauling, at Squadron-11/Assault Lanumad Ahmad Yani Semarang, Central Java, Wednesday, December 22.

According to him, the excellent condition of the TNI Alutsista will certainly have a positive impact on the TNI's operational readiness.

"It should be remembered that having a strong TNI defense system and reliable TNI personnel is the main capital in maintaining the nation's sovereignty," Herindra said in a press release received in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, December 23.

The former Danjen Kopassus underlined the importance of capacity building and improvement in various fields, both Human Resources (HR) and equipment rejuvenation in units.

In line with this, the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) is committed to supporting the maintenance of the TNI Alutsista so that the readiness and operational security of the TNI in carrying out the task of upholding state sovereignty and maintaining the territorial integrity of the Republic of Indonesia can be carried out properly and optimally.

"The Ministry of Defense will continue to be seriously committed to supporting the maintenance of the TNI Alutsista, namely by maximizing the use of the defense budget for the procurement and maintenance of the TNI Alutsista," said Herindra.

Wamenhan Herindra also said that strengthening the TNI's capabilities, both in terms of adding defense equipment and human resources, was absolutely necessary.

"The TNI's defense equipment system must be ensured that it really has high technology, as a consequence of the high dynamics of the development of the strategic environment," said the former Inspector General of National Park.
