Two Houses Scorched, Devoured By Fire, Fire Officers Call The Fire Coming From Mosquito Coils
JAKARTA - As a result of burning mosquito coils, two houses in Gang Masjid RT 002/007, Ciracas Village, East Jakarta, Sunday, December 19, were burned to the ground. The fire also devoured two stalls located close to the victim's house.
The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Sudin Gulkarmat) received the report of the fire at 22:34 p.m. local time.
"The objects that burned were two contact houses and two food stalls," said East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Operations Section Head Gatot Sulaeman to reporters, Monday, December 20.
As a result of the fire incident, the loss was estimated at IDR 150 million. Gatot said the source of the fire came from mosquito coils that were burned.

"The mosquito coil fell onto a flammable object and there was ignition and propagation," he said.
Six fire engines were dispatched to extinguish the fire.
"We started the fire at 22:35 p.m., finished 30 minutes later. There were no injuries or lives in the fire," he said.
