KPK Investigation Director Becomes NTT Police Chief, KPK Will Open Selection
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri said he would open a selection to fill the position of Director of Investigation of the Corruption Eradication Commission vacated by Brigadier General Setyo Budiyanto. He will no longer hold that position because he has been transferred to be East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Chief.
In this selection effort, the KPK will later send a letter to the National Police Headquarters as well as other law enforcement officers who have the authority to investigate criminal acts of corruption. Firli said the opening of the selection was important in order to screen out who would work at the KPK.
"Everyone who works at the KPK goes through a selection process," said Firli in his statement quoted on Monday, December 20.
"KPK will open a selection to fill the position (Director of Investigation, ed) in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations," added the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK.
