Again! Elon Musk Makes Fun Of Jeff Bezos, Go Back To Work And Don't Soak In A Hot Tub For Too Long
JAKARTA – Elon Musk has again launched a war of words with his billionaire space race rival, Jeff Bezos. The SpaceX CEO says the Amazon founder doesn't work as hard as he does and should spend "less time in the hot tub".
The Tesla CEO, who was named Person of the Year 2021 by Time Magazine, did praise his rival when he said he had “pretty good engineering prowess”, even though Blue Origin lags behind its own aerospace company, SpaceX.
But he followed up by adding that Bezos 'seems unwilling to expend mental energy going into engineering details'.
“The devil is in the details,” Musk said in an interview with the Financial Times quoted by Reuters, after being named man of the year.
“In some ways, I'm trying to encourage him to spend more time on Blue Origin so they make more progress. Like my friend said, he should be spending more time in Blue Origin and less time in the hot tub," Elon Musk said of Jeff Bezos.
Musk, then pointed out his own work ethic, revealing that he works 80 to 90 hours per week overseeing SpaceX and Tesla projects, before taking one more parting shot when he said Bezos was "taking himself too seriously".

The Blue Origin founder has yet to respond to the statement but the pair have been bickering for the past few years.
In recent years billionaires have been shooting each other openly on Twitter. Elon Musk mocked Jeff Bezos in September, after he overtook him as the world's richest person.
The head of Tesla said he would send a silver medal to the Amazon founder. Musk is now worth about $252 billion while Bezos is "only" worth $195 billion, according to Forbes.
