Homeless Body Found By Roadside, Police: No Sign Of Strangulation

JAKARTA - A male corpse was found lying on the side of the road, Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah 6, RW 05, Cempaka Putih Timur Village, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta.

"The victim is homeless. Members are still at the scene where the body was found," said Cempaka Putih Police Chief Commissioner Ade Rosa when contacted by VOI, Thursday, December 16.

Before being evacuated by officers, the victim's body with the initials S (60) was covered by a cardboard sheet by local residents.

The Central Jakarta Metro Police identification officer who arrived at the location immediately conducted a crime scene and identified the body.

"There are no signs of violence on the victim's body. He is homeless," he said.

Even so, officers are still investigating the crime scene and collecting witness statements related to the incident.

"There are no scars, no signs of violence. There is also no strangulation," said Commissioner Ade Rosa.

Until now, the police are still investigating the discovery of the body. Meanwhile, the case is still being handled by the Cempaka Putih Police Headquarters.
