PKB Chairman Muhaimin Comes To PGI Office, Gives Special Invitation For Christmas Celebration December 21

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, came to the PGI Office. Muhaimin specially invited the General Chairperson and PGI management to attend the celebration of Christmas 2021 which will be held on December 21, 2021, at the Nusantara V Building, Indonesia House of Representatives, South Jakarta.

This was conveyed by Muhaimin during a visit to the PGI office on Monday, December 13 yesterday afternoon. The chairman of the PKB was welcomed by the General Chairperson of PGI, the Reverend Gomar Gultom, accompanied by the Secretary of Age, Pdt. Jacklevyn Manuputty and Deputy General Secretary, Pdt. Krise. A Gosal, and several bureau chiefs and staff.

Pdt. Gomar expressed his pleasure and gratitude for Muhaimin's visit and the invitation to welcome Christmas which was delivered directly by his General Chair.

"Of course I'm happy to have Cak Imin. Welcome, and I didn't expect Mr. Chairman to come right away", he said, quoted from the PGI official website.

In addition to conveying the invitation, Cak Imin also had a dialogue about several issues related to the nation's problems and Papuan issues.

"Preserving and growing the spirit of unity was his commitment long before he became the chairman of the PKB, and he said we ourselves had a long journey to foster national unity", said Cak Imin.

Regarding Papua, Pdt. Gomar explained that PGI has a special bureau that always reviews various issues in Papua.

“We have a special bureau for disaster hazard reduction, there is also a special bureau for Papua. We will continue to study all the problems that occur in Papua together”.

Muhaimin said PKB will continue to learn to spread prosperity, especially for the Papuan people. And in general, regarding democracy, Cak Imin hopes that democracy in Indonesia will be more productive in the future which will have an impact on prosperity and welfare. The many threats to the unity of Indonesia, he said, could be overcome as long as the value of pluralism between religious communities could remain harmonious.
