Good News, Patients Recovered From COVID-19 In Central Bangka Reaches 6,341 People

JAKARTA - COVID-19 patients in Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province who were declared cured were recorded as 6,431 people from a total of 6,618 local residents who were confirmed positive for the new coronavirus.

The head of the Central Bangka Health Office, Dr. Anas in Koba, said that as of Saturday, December 11 at 16:44 WIB, there were nine people who were still positive for the virus (active cases) and 180 patients who died during the pandemic.

Anas also said that from August to October 2021 there were no additional cases of people dying due to exposure to the new type of coronavirus.

"Currently we are very concentrated on preventing and treating the remaining eight patients," he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 12.

"We are very concentrated on handling cases of the new coronavirus by continuing to vaccinate, socialize health protocols and prepare all adequate medical equipment," Anas added.

So far, he said, the vaccination program has been implemented, as much as 70 percent of the total 150 thousand people who are targeted for vaccination.

Based on data on the distribution of COVID-19 cases, he said, four sub-districts were declared vulnerable, namely Pangkalanbaru, Namang, Koba, and Simpangkatis sub-districts with higher case-finding rates.

The lowest spread of new coronavirus cases was recorded in Lubuk Besar District and Sungaiselan District.

The tabulated data also records that the age of residents vulnerable to being exposed to the new coronavirus is 55 to 69 years.
