Condemning The Beating Of Policewomen By Soldier Yonif Raider 631, Commission III Of DPR Reminds National Armed Forces-National Police Friction To Never Happen Again

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) from the PKB Party faction, Jazilul Fawaid, condemned the beating by soldiers Battalion Raider 631/Antang against a policewoman from the Central Kalimantan (Kalteng) Regional Police on Sunday, December 5, at 01.00 a.m. local time.

The policewoman who was beaten by National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers on Jalan Cilik Riwut Km 03, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan was Police Sub-Inspector (Bripda) TNS, personnel from Raimas Ditsamapta team of Central Kalimantan Police. Due to the incident, Bripda TNS suffered bruises on his hands and head.

Jazilul asked that incidents like this do not happen again. Because according to him, fighting between the two institutions is not appropriate in the eyes of the public.

"We hope that this incident will not be repeated. It is not good for the public to know about friction like this," said Jazilul, Wednesday, December 8.

The Deputy Chairperson of the PKB Party considered the beatings of policewomen strange by TNI soldiers. The reason, said Jazilul, is that TNI soldiers should maintain security and unity, not on the other hand, they should set a bad example. The Deputy Chairperson of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR) also reminded the National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) leaders to set an example for their respective soldiers. So that it doesn't happen again.
