Microsoft Office Now Has A Fresh New Interface
JAKARTA - Microsoft started rolling out a new UI for all Office users this week. Introduced earlier this year, Office UI has started testing in the past few months.
The Office UI is now available to Office 365 and Office 2021 users. According to Microsoft, the new interface is designed to match the visual changes in Windows 11.
Not only that, but the Office UI also includes a more rounded look to the Office ribbon bar, with some subtle adjustments to buttons across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
To quote The Verge, Friday, December 3, it's been a very simple refresh, and now Office will do just fine if the user applies a dark or light theme.

This new view can also be turned on or off using the "Coming Soon" icon in the upper right corner of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or OneNote. Supposedly, it should be available to all Windows 11 users by now.
Microsoft says 50 percent of current channel subscribers will automatically enable visual updates. Even so, most of the design changes are subtle. However, Microsoft has made more dramatic changes to its Office UI, including a move to a more command bar instead of the legacy interface.
It is expected that Microsoft will also release this new UI on the web and mobile versions of Office first. Last year, Microsoft stated that larger Office UI changes could take a year or two to roll out.
