IDR 53 Billion Is The Total Wealth Of Minister Sri Mulyani Which Is Being Criticized By The People's Consultative Assembly Leadership
JAKARTA - The leadership of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly asked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to replace Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani. This request arose because he was considered not to respect the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly and was considered not to have a qualified work program in maintaining economic stability in the country.
So how much wealth does he have?
Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which she reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission on March 26, Sri Mulyani was recorded to have assets of IDR 62,823,885,817. However, due to having a debt of IDR 9,509,426,080, her wealth is only around IDR 53,314,459,737.
In the report, Sri Mulyani recorded ownership of land and buildings worth IDR 42,633,880,000. The assets are spread over several areas such as South Tangerang, Tangerang, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and an unnamed country.
Furthermore, Sri Mulyani registered the ownership of a 2019 Honda Rebel CMX500 motorcycle vehicle with a value of IDR 145 million and other movable assets worth IDR 446,520,000.
In addition, Sri Mulyani also reported assets in the form of securities worth IDR 10,232,315,470 and cash and cash equivalents of IDR 9,366,170,347.
It was previously reported that Sri Mulyani had spoken about the complaint from the Indonesia People's Consultative Assembly leadership regarding her absence from the invitation to the meeting to discuss the People's Consultative Assembly budget.
Through an upload to the Instagram account @smindrawati, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani admitted that there were two invitations, the first on 27 July 2021 along with the president's internal meeting which had to be attended so that the deputy minister represented the People's Consultative Assembly.
Second, on September 28, 2021, at the same time as the House of Representatives Budget Agency meeting to discuss the 2022 State Budget, the presence of the Minister of Finance is mandatory and very important. As a result, the meeting with the People's Consultative Assembly was decided to be postponed.
"Regarding the People's Consultative Assembly budget. As is known in 2021, Indonesia will face a surge in COVID-19 due to the Delta variant. The entire Ministry/Agency Budget must be refocused 4 times, the goal is to help deal with COVID-19", Sri Mulyani said in a statement quoted on Wednesday, December 1.
