JAKARTA - A total of 138 elementary school principals in Bandung City, West Java took the Koran writing test as part of optimal implementation in carrying out main tasks, functions, and moral responsibilities to students.
Bandung Mayor Oded M. Danial in Bandung, Wednesday, said the activity was part of the socialization of the Al Quran Writing Movement (Gelisan) Program which is one of the methodologies for interacting with the Koran in the Bandung Religion program.
"Gelisan Al Quran program is an extraordinary, creative innovation. Because if we read we don't necessarily write, but if we write, God willing, we will read," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 1.
One hundred elementary school principals took the test at a hotel in Bandung. The Gelisan Program is also a series of activities for the 211th Anniversary of the City of Bandung.
According to Oded, the activity was also held in order to shape the community to love the holy book of Muslims more.
