The Recklessness Of The 212 Reunion Committee, Still Holding Actions Even Without Permission

JAKARTA - The 212 Alumni Association (PA) plans to hold a reunion. The event will take place at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, on December 2, 2021.

However, in the process the event was constrained by permission. The police have yet to issue a crowd permit.

The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan said that there had been an application for a crowd permit related to the 212 Reunion event.

"There has been a proposal (a letter), namely on Thursday, November 18, 2021, it was submitted to us," Zulpan told reporters, Thursday, November 25.

The permit has not been given, said Zulpan, because the applicant has not completed several requirements. One of them is a letter of recommendation from the COVID-19 Task Force.

The recommendation letter is very important during the current pandemic. The goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"One of them (requirements for the recommendation of the COVID-19 Task Force)," said Zulpan.

On the other hand, Zulpan said there was a deadline for the committee to complete these requirements. They must meet these requirements before the action can take place.

"Yes, before the activity, of course," said Zulpan.

In addition to the recommendations from the COVID-19 Task Force, there are several conditions that must be met by the 212 committee. First, the committee must obtain a permit from the manager of the action location. The goal is that the police, from the Polsek to Polda levels, can monitor security.

Then, said Zulpan, the committee must submit an activity proposal. Thus, the police can find out several things related to the action, such as the number of masses to the concept of action that affects the security pattern.

"After completing the administration, equipped with this committee, the police, according to the soup, will conduct research, review the location, analyze the place of activity," said Zulpan.

On a separate occasion, the Chairperson of the 212 Reunion Committee, Eka Jaya, stated that he would still hold the action at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, even though he did not get permission from the police. However, with a change of concept into super peaceful action.

"Keep the title at the Horse Statue. If permission is not given, then we will carry out peaceful actions or super peaceful actions," said Eka.

Thus, the committee team will only provide a notification letter regarding the action. Although, not officially licensed.

"It's only enough for us to give a notification letter. Without a permit," he said.

While in the licensing process, Eka stated that his party had submitted an application to the COVID-19 Task Force to the Head of Transportation Agency. However, until now there has been no further information on the request.

"We have given all the letters. The Head of Transportation Agency told us that they have never issued a recommendation. Only then will they receive a directive from the Metro Police to hold a technical meeting that has been in effect so far," said Eka.

An application to the COVID-19 Task Force has also been sent. However, still waiting for developments on the application

"We sent the Covid-19 Task Force yesterday. Because we got the information from intelligence, we have submitted it," said Eka.

Eka also ensured that his party would continue to strive to meet the requirements. So, the reunion activities will run according to the rules.

"We are still trying to fulfill the requirements of the Metro Police," said Eka Jaya.
