Police Have Not Given Permission For The 212 Reunion Event At The Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, This Is The Reason

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police stated that it had received an application for a crowd permit related to the 212 Reunion event. However, until now, no permit has been issued regarding the application.

"We have submitted a letter (letter) on Thursday, November 18, 2021," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner Endra Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, November 25.

The permit has not been given, said Zulpan, because the applicant has not completed several requirements. One of them is a letter of recommendation from the COVID-19 Task Force.

The recommendation letter is very important during the current pandemic. The goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"One of them (requirements for the recommendation of the COVID-19 Task Force)," said Zulpan.

On the other hand, Zulpan said there was a deadline for the committee to complete these requirements. They must meet these requirements before the action can take place.

"Yes, before the activity, of course," Zulpan said.

Previously, the 212 Alumni Association (PA) planned to hold a 212 reunion on December 2, 2021. However, this activity was not held at the National Monument (Monas).

Secretary General of PA 212 Novel Bamukmin said the plan is for the 212 Reunion to be held at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta. This location is right next to Monas.

"The plan is to hold it at the Horse Statue," said Novel Bamukmin in a short message to VOI, Tuesday, November 23.

However, Novel said the preparations for the 212 Reunion were still being finalized by the event organizing committee.

"Everything is still in the process of brewing. Later, when it is fixed, we will send the official release," Novel said
