COVID-19 Update As Of November 24: 451 New Cases, Accumulated 4,254,443 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 288,866 specimens were examined with the result that there were 451 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,253,992 people and 7,977 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, November 24.

Today's recovered cases increased by 377 cases, bringing the total to 4,102,700 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 13 people and a total of 143,766 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 85 cases and a total of 707,488 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 82 new cases with a total of 863,633 cases. Central Java has 53 new cases and a total of 486,161 cases. Then, East Java with 36 new cases and a total of 399,226 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 105 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 79 recovered cases, DI Yogyakarta with an additional 33 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 29 recovered cases.

There are 6 provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Bengkulu, Lampung, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, and North Maluku. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 52,819,945.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.20 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,834 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 136,080,848 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 91,214,986 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,218,261. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
