In 2022, The Ministry Of Health To Allocate IDR 46.464 Trillion For 96.8 Million JKN PBIs
JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said the government allocated a budget of IDR 46.464 trillion for the people who receive the National Health Insurance (JKN) Contribution Assistance (PBI) in 2022.
"We have budgeted for PBI JKN 2022 for 96.8 million people with an average contribution of IDR 40.000 per month so that the existing budget at the Ministry of Health for PBI JKN is IDR 46.464 trillion," said Budi in the RDP for Integrated Data on Social Welfare at Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) monitored online, Antara, Wednesday, November 24.
Minister of Health Budi said the allocation was calculated through a meeting of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency, the Ministry of Finance, and the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
According to Budi, the certainty of the allocation of funds will be determined based on input from the Ministry of Social Affairs before being verified by Health Social Security Administration (BPJS).
"God willing, it can be completed in November so that it can be paid according to the data submitted by the Ministry of Social Affairs," he said.
Budi said the number experienced a decrease in the number of PBI participants based on periodic verification carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"With a letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs on September 15, 2021, so that in October there will be a decrease in the number of participants and automatically there will be a decrease in the amount of PBI subsidies paid by the Ministry of Health to BPJS Health," he said.
Budi added that out of a total of 268 million people in Indonesia, 214 million people have been registered as participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN) system.
Budi said that as many as 120 million JKN participants were subsidized by the central and regional governments. While the remaining 94 million participants consisted of 58.9 million wage workers, 31 million non-wage workers and 4.37 million non-employees.
"This data illustrates that there is still room for around 54 million people to increase JKN coverage," he said.
For this reason, Budi asked for the participation of individuals, SOEs and the private sector to help fund JKN so that the scope of participation can be felt by the wider community.
