Two Fast Train Projects, PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC) Become Targets Of Iron Thieves, Police Chase Other Perpetrators

JAKARTA - Head of the Main Highway Patrol (PJR) of Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek), AKP Rikky Atmaja, is still investigating three perpetrators of theft of iron poles from the PT Kereta Api Indonesia China (KCIC)project at kilometer 34 Cibatu, Bekasi Regency, West Java.

The police are also still investigating whether the perpetrator is related to the KCIC iron theft in the East Jakarta area or not.

"It's true that at KC KM 06 the fast train project, we can't confirm yet. But we support the government's acceleration program, one of which is securing the assets of the fast train project", AKP Rikky told reporters, Tuesday, November 23.

The police are also still investigating the syndicate of the perpetrators of the KCIC iron theft project.

"If our syndicate has not been able to state that, maybe it will be investigated later in the Criminal Investigation Department. What is certain is that their confession is the second time", he said.

The theft case will also be developed by the Criminal Investigation Unit to find a place to sell the stolen goods from the perpetrators.

"For where to sell, the Criminal Investigation Department will be able to prove it. Later, after this, we will delegate it to the Regency Metro Police", he said.

The perpetrators also modified the car they used to steal so that they could be free.

"The front seat is folded, maybe to put the goods that have been prepared", he said.

Furthermore, AKP Rikky said his party would increase patrols in the early hours of the morning until sunrise.
