Regarding The Fixing Of Liga 3 Scores, The Minister Of Youth And Sports Asks PSSI To Severely Punish The Perpetrators
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali asked PSSI to give severe punishment to players and officials who were found to have accepted bribes at Liga 3 clubs.
Indonesian football has again been injured with dirty acts with the discovery of allegations of bribery to players and officials of Liga 3 2021 clubs in the East Java region. This has been confirmed by the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) PSSI Erwin Tobing.
Menpora also asked PSSI to investigate the allegation. According to him, this case is also a signal for PSSI to start paying attention to League 3 which is followed by amateur teams because the competition is also, according to him, a training ground for Indonesian football clubs.
"It's not easy to prove (alleged bribery). We need strengthening in clubs, Askab, Askot, and Asprov so that it is more emphasized that it is not the championship that is our goal, especially in League 3 which is coaching so that they can become clubs that level up," said Zainudin quoting Antara, Friday.
"If it is proven (score-fixing) the punishment should not be light because it can make people repeat it," he added.
Zainudin asked that the minimum sentence given was suspended from all soccer activities with a certain duration of time until the heaviest, sanctioned for life.
Previously, it was confirmed that there was an alleged match-fixing at the East Java League 3 club in the match between Gestra Paranane FA and NZR Sumbersari FC and Gestra against Persema.

The case is currently being tried by the PSSI East Java Asprov Disciplinary Committee and is now entering its second trial. Erwin ensured that the suspects would receive severe punishment.
"There is money or not? What is clear is that he lost according to the request. This was contacted. That's why there was a report from the management. That's why he reported it to the Asprov Komdis. If it turns out to be true, the sanction is for life," Erwin said.
