Fired By Gerindra After Absent Paying Donations Of IDR 5 Million Per Month, Tanjungpinang DPRD Member Apriyandi Objects
TANJUNGPINANG - A member of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) faction of the Regional House of Representatives of Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands, Apriyandi submitted an objection letter to the central board after the decision to dismiss him was issued.
"This (submitting) an objection letter to the Gerindra Central Executive Board is the first step that I took", said Apriyandi at the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representative's office as reported by Antara, Thursday, November 18.
He hopes the Gerindra Party will review the decision. The reason is that he feels that he has carried out his duties and obligations as a party cadre as well as a member of the legislature.
"I have integrity and loyalty to the party that has raised me. It has been proven", said a member of Commission I Regional House of Representatives Tanjungpinang.
Apriyandi also feels that the accusation that he violated the party's AD/ART (Statutes and bylaws) is not true, because so far he has contributed to the party.
However, in the last six months, he admitted that he had not yet donated, because various information emerged that he would be fired as a member of the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives.
"If it is considered that so far, I have not contributed income as a member of the legislature, of course, that is not true because in the last two years I have contributed", he said.

Apriyandi is still carrying out routine activities as a member of the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives after receiving information a day ago that the Gerindra Party dismissed him as a party member and also as a member of the Gerindra faction of the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives.
"I am discussing the budget with the local government budget team", he said.
The Gerindra Party dismissed Apriyandi as a member of the party faction in the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives based on Decree No. 11-0327/Kpts/-Gerindra/2021 broadcast in several online media.
Based on the letter, the reason for the dismissal of Apriyandi as a member of the Gerindra Party was because he did not pay his income contribution as a member of the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives, so he was declared to have violated the party's AD/ART.
"Since 2019 he has served as a member of the Tanjungpinang Regional House of Representatives, he has regularly paid income contributions of IDR 5 million/month. Payments are not required to be made every month, but can be paid every three months or every six months", said Apriyandi.
