Kabaharkam Recommends A Special Police Unit Tasked With Securing The Mandalika Area

NTB - Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam), Komjen Arief Sulistyanto, said his party had recommended that there be a special police unit tasked with securing the Mandalika area.

"We have recommended the National Police leadership to form a super-priority tourism area police unit in Mandalika", said Arief in Central Lombok, Antara, Thursday, November 18.

The recommendation, he continued, had also been followed up by the NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal, to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

The aspect of consideration is seen from the routine security of the police which cannot be equated with the world of tourism. According to him, there must be adjustments in the field that are more innovative and humanistic.

Therefore, Kabaharkam assesses that security must be carried out properly, both from the readiness of personnel, equipment, and supporting facilities for securing tourist areas.

"It's just a matter of how it is coordinated so that the security here is really handled specifically by the regional police unit who has the competence of equipment and the right way to act", he said.
