JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, and National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), or a memorandum of understanding related to food security and availability. The goal is to ensure that the needs of all Indonesian people are met.
"We signed an MoU between the National Police Chief and us at the Ministry of Agriculture. By the direction of President Joko Widodo, that the issue of food security and food availability for the people of 273 million people is a strategy that must be carried out optimally", said Syahrul at the National Police Headquarters, Tuesday, November 16.
This cooperation, said Syahrul, is because the Minister of Agriculture cannot work alone under supervision. Thus, he cooperates with the National Police to help ensure safe distribution in border and vulnerable areas.
