Collision With Police At Moscow Airport, Cousin Of Khabib Nurmagomedov Arrested
JAKARTA - Usman Nurmagomedov, cousin of former Russian UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, and his friend were detained by police at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport. They hit a police officer at Kaspiysk Airport with their vehicle.
"Usman Nurmagomedov and Kamal Idrisov were detained upon arrival of the flight from Kaspiysk and they are suspected of hitting a police car with their car at Kaspiysk Airport", a law enforcement source told TASS on Thursday.
The press office of the Central District of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Interior Ministry confirmed to TASS that two people, born in 1998, were detained at Sheremetyevo Airport upon arrival from Makhachkala.
"They allegedly hit a policeman with a car at a checkpoint at Kaspiysk Airport", the press office said.
The Dagestan Investigative Committee announced at a later date that the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for the incident.

According to local investigators, police officers asked the driver of the Toyota Camry to stop near the Kaspiysk Airport checkpoint at around 11:30 am local time.
The car with tinted windows did not have a license number and an unidentified driver in the car ignored the police officer's request to stop and then drove past the security barrier crashing into a police officer, who suffered injuries.
Usman Nurmagomedov is a 23-year-old fighter, who has an MMA record of 14 wins (8 KOs, 4 submissions, and 2 decisions).
