Revealing The Weakness Of The Indonesian National Team, Evan Dimas: They Tend To Have Stage Fright Before Competing
JAKARTA - The captain of the Indonesian national team, Evan Dimas, revealed the weakness of the Garuda squad. According to him, the national team often feels afraid before competing.
This was revealed by Evan when talking with the General Chair of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Mochamad Iriawan during the player's release to Turkey on Thursday night at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta.
"The drawback is that we are afraid before the match. If the opponent is a team above us, we lack confidence," said Evan.
Despite expressing the team's weaknesses, the Bhayangkara FC player also revealed that slowly the fear was starting to be overcome. Because under the leadership of the coach, Shin Tae-yong the team experienced significant improvements on the pitch which helped boost the players' confidence.
Based on this experience, Evan hopes that the confidence that has begun in the team can increase their confidence when appearing in the 2020 AFF Cup.

"We hope to be confident in the AFF Cup. I see progress like against Australia U-23. I've played against big teams, maybe lost a lot. I see but right now we are developing quite well and are brave against big teams," Evan added.
Regarding the departure of the Indonesian national team to Turkey, that was indeed the agenda proposed by the coach, Shin Tae-yong. This was done in preparation for the 2020 AFF Cup in December.
