Students Persecuted By Teacher In Alor, Police Say Suspect Often Performs Violent Actions
JAKARTA - The Alor Police, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), reported that the alleged teacher (SK) who abused his student with the initials MM (13) to death, is known to have often committed acts of violence against students at the school.
"After we investigated the suspect, he has often committed acts of violence against students, namely on Mondays and Fridays when he was a picket teacher at the school", said Alor Police Chief, AKBP Agustinus Christmas, when contacted from Kupang, reported by Antara, Thursday, 11 November.
This was conveyed in connection with the development of the investigation into the case of abuse by a teacher to his students at SMP Negeri VII Padang Panjang, East Alor District.
MM was rushed to the hospital for intensive care due to being hit in the head, then kicked in the buttocks and hit in the calf.
The victim was treated on October 16 but finally breathed his last on October 26, 2021.

The Alor Police Chief said that from the results of the examination of witnesses, it was revealed that the suspect often used violence against seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri Padang Panjang, including the victim MM.
He conveyed that Alor Police investigators had examined nine witnesses in the case of alleged teacher abuse against students which resulted in the victim's death.
The nine witnesses included five grade VII students who were also classmates of the MM victim, the victim's parents, one of the Padang Panjang Junior High School teachers, and the victim's adoptive parents who took MM victim to the Lantoka Health Center before being referred to the Kalabahi Hospital and the reporting is a relative of the victim.
From the examination, Agustinus said, the witnesses admitted that the suspect SK often used violence in the form of physical abuse against students, including the victim MM.
SK's violence against students if the students do not do the English assignments given. And for MM, the suspect SK was angry because he didn't bring a photocopy of the English module and couldn't introduce himself in English.
He said that apart from examining witnesses, investigators had also obtained the results of the post-mortem et repertum from the Lantoka Health Center. However, the police have not yet received the autopsy results from a team of forensic doctors from the NTT Regional Police Medical and Health Sector who conducted an autopsy on the victim's body.
"From the post-mortem, there are some signs of scars", he said,
He explained that the wound was caused by the abuse carried out by the suspect SK against MM using a stick. The evidence was confiscated by investigators.
"The suspect also admitted his actions", he said.
