This Is The Reason Amartha Hangtuah Returns To Using LaQuavius Cotton Services At IBL
JAKARTA - Amartha Hangtuah again uses the services of foreign player LaQuavius Cotton to navigate the basketball competition, the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) next season.
Especially for Q Cotton, this is the second time the player from the United States has strengthened Amartha Hangtuah. Previously, at IBL 2019 he also joined the team based in South Jakarta. Amartha Hangtuah's vice president, Eddi Danusaputro, explained the reasons for re-electing Q Cotton.
"We already know his attitude that he is coachable, willing to listen to the coach's words. Work ethic is also good, often after training instead of going straight home, he stays for free throw practice, shooting practice, and so on. Indeed, his work ethic two seasons ago was very good, and could be a role model for our local players. So we are determined to choose this player", Eddi launched Antara.
Meanwhile, Amartha Hangtuah's coach, AF Rinaldo, mentioned four reasons that made him interested in recruiting Q Cotton. The first is Cotton's experience playing in the IBL. Cotton's posture also made Coach Inal smitten. This 29-year-old player also has chemistry with local pillars in the Hang Tuah team.

“He was also one of the players who had the respect of other foreign players in the league before the pandemic. Q Cotton can play in positions 2, 3, even 4. He is very versatile, there are many positions he can play. It will depend on what the situation on the field will be", said Coach Inal.
Besides Q Cotton, in the IBL Draft 2021, Amartha Hangtuah also recruited Anton Waters Sr. Then, tie a rookie from Diponegoro University, namely Topo Adi Saputro. This 22-year-old player often plays as a guard with a posture of 184 centimeters.
"So in the first round we have chosen Anton Waters where he is number 4 (power forward) or 5 (center), so it's the big man. Now for the second round, we choose players of different types, so that there are variations in the game and not monotonous. So we choose players who can play at number 3 (small forward) or 2 (shooting guard)", said Eddi, the man who is also the Managing Director of Mandiri Capital.
