Head of the BMKG (Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency) Technician Group at the Tunggul Wulung Meteorological Station in Cilacap, Teguh Wardoyo, said that based on information, the weather prospect in the Central Java region issued by BMKG Ahmad Yani Semarang this morning at around 10.30 WIB, in the next 3-6 hours there is the potential for extreme weather.
"Extreme weather is rain with moderate to the heavy intensity which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds," he said in Cilacap, Antara, Thursday, November 11.
He said several areas in southern Central Java and the central mountains that have the potential for extreme weather include Cilacap, Banyumas, Purbalingga, Banjarnegara, Kebumen, Purworejo, and Wonosobo regencies.

According to him, the extreme weather also has the potential to occur in several other Central Java regions such as Semarang Regency, Magelang Regency/City, Boyolali, Klaten, Sukoharjo, Wonogiri, Karanganyar, Sragen, Blora, Rembang, Pati, Kudus, Jepara, Demak, Grobogan, Temanggung. , Tegal, Surakarta City, Salatiga, and its surroundings.
Therefore, he said, the public is advised to remain vigilant and careful about the potential for extreme weather and the impacts that can be caused such as floods, landslides, flash floods, puddles, strong winds, fallen trees, and slippery roads.
