Digging Information And Checking Facts On Explosion Terror, Komnas HAM RI Visits The Home Of Veronica Koman's Parents
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), Amiruddin, visited the home of activist Veronica Koman's parents regarding the recent terror incident at her home on U Street, Jelambar Baru Gropet, West Jakarta.
"The Indonesian National Human Rights Commission came to visit the residence of Veronica Koman's parents to ensure the condition of Veronica Koman's parents," explained the External Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Human Rights Commission, Amiruddin to VOI, Thursday, November 11.
Amiruddin's arrival to communicate was also to collect information from Veronica Koman's parents regarding the post-terror conditions of the explosion.
"This step is a form of Komnas HAM RI's empathy towards Veronica Koman's family as well as efforts to collect initial information and facts of events," he said.
According to Amiruddin, Komnas HAM views that the attacks and terrors have caused trauma for Veronica Koman's parents. The reason is, Veronica's parents feel restless and scared after the terror occurred.
"Regarding this incident, the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission has asked the Metro Jaya Police Chief to ensure that the incident is thoroughly and transparently investigated," said Amiruddin.

Amiruddin emphasized that the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission would continue to monitor the progress of the investigation into the case.
"Because acts of terror are crimes. Therefore, these actions should not be left alone," concluded the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission, Amiruddin.
Previously reported, West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Commissioner Joko Dwi Harsono confirmed that his party had examined five witnesses related to the explosion in front of the house of Papuan activist Veronica Koman's parents that occurred on U Street, Jelambar Baru Gropet, West Jakarta.
"So far, five witnesses have been examined regarding the explosion. The five are homeowners, assistants, and security guards," said Kasat when confirmed, Wednesday, November 10.
In addition to examining witnesses, the West Jakarta Metro Police are still waiting for the results of the forensic laboratory (labfor) related to post-explosion evidence.
