12 Stunning Appearances Of Artists And Actors On The 2021 FFI Red Carpet

JAKARTA - There is a unique thing found on the red carpet at the Citra Award Awarding Night at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) this year. One of them was the female guests who wore a variety of modern and fashionable Nusantara kebayas on the FFI 2021 red carpet.

The chairman of the 2021 Indonesian Film Festival Committee (FFI) Reza Rahardian revealed that the concept of this year's event was inspired by the 1955 FFI.

"Today's event concept, from clothing, was inspired by FFI in 1955 and after, where women wore kebaya and men wore tuxedos, yes. For me, it's beautiful," said Reza during an interview on the red carpet of FFI 2021. in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 10 night.

One of the things that caught the attention was film actress Prilly Latuconsina who wore a black Balinese kebaya and sprinkled with gold sequins. This combination produces an elegant appearance without reducing the traditional impression of the uniqueness of Kebaya from the Island of the Gods.

"Bali kebaya designed by Anne Avantie. This is my first time wearing a kebaya at an event of this great. I prepared to wear a Balinese kebaya with a very traditional touch," said Prilly, who won Favorite Actress (Chitra Dewi Award) on the awarding night.

She claimed to like the Balinese kebaya. Prilly said that she always tries to take the time to wear traditional clothes when visiting the Island of the Gods.

"I'm really in love with Balinese kebaya. For preparation, I think a month and a half, because I'm quite detailed for today. Starting from the color, gold sequins, to the fabric I also changed twice because I really wanted it to be very special for this day," she said.

Meanwhile, the mother and daughter couple, Wulan Guritno and Shaloom Syach Razadee, appeared wearing a kebaya designed by Ghea Fashion Studio that accentuated a simple yet luxurious impression. Actress Happy Salma also wore a pink and purple kebaya set from the same fashion house.

Speaking of pink and purple, the winner of Best Female Actress Arawinda Kirana also comes with almost the same color combination. This seems to be adapted to the purple color that is very synonymous with her latest film, "Yuni".

Actress Asmara Abigail also looked stunning in a dress from Toton the Label, which was synonymous with mixing the concept of traditional elements with modern sophisticated modifications.
