Bogor Is Still On Level 3 PPKM, This Is The Reason
BOGOR - The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force, West Java revealed the reason the area was still in the level 3 status of the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
The reason is that the development of COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly has not reached 40 percent.
"Even though the vaccination achievement is more than 50 percent, vaccination for the elderly is below 40 percent. Meanwhile, the requirements to go down to level 2 must be 50 percent vaccination and 40 percent vaccination for the elderly," said the Regent who is also the Head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Ade Yasin in Cibinong, Bogor, reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 3.
Based on the latest data on November 2, 2021, the first dose of vaccination for the elderly in Bogor Regency was 33.68 percent, or 93.506 people from the 277.614 target. While the second dose was only 58,341 people or 21.02 percent of the target.
In the same period, the first dose of vaccination in Bogor Regency was 50.54 percent or 2.135.630 people from the 4.225.790 target. While the second dose reached 1.404.320 people or 33.23 percent of the target.

Ade Yasin said that the large population in the area was one of the obstacles in implementing vaccination. This is because the number of residents in Bogor Regency is recorded at the highest when compared to other cities/regencies in Indonesia, which is 5.4 million people.
Another obstacle is that Bogor Regency has a large area with 40 sub-districts, so the COVID-19 Task Force has difficulty reaching remote locations.
Therefore, he said, must collaborate with various agencies, including the National Armed Force (TNI)-National Police (Polri) to pick up the ball on the implementation of vaccinations in remote areas.
