KKB Member Yentinus Kogoya Apparently 4 Years Hiding In Dekai, Working In Mines And Playing Social Media

PAPUA - One member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) was arrested by the Nemangkawi Task Force in Dekai City, Yahukimo Regency, Papua, Tuesday, November 2. The perpetrator, named Yentinus Kogoya, was apparently on the People's Wanted List (DPO) for 4 years.

Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Nemangkawi Ops, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, said that Yentinus was a subordinate of the KKB leader for the Nduga region, Egianus Kogoya and the head of the Yahukimo KKB, Tendius Gwijangge.

The arrests were made when the task force was on patrol around the Dekai-Yahukimo City area. "During the patrol, the team received a report from the public that one of the KKB groups in the Nduga and Yahukimo areas was in Dekai-Yahukimo City", Kamal explained in a written statement, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 3.

According to Kamal, the arrest was made when he was riding a ride to buy gasoline. Together with Benius Giban, officers took Yentinus to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Yahukimo Police for questioning.

"From the results of the initial examination, Yentinus Kogoya is a member of the Nduga and Yahukimo KKB and has been in Dekai City, Yahukimo Regency for 4 years. He works in a mine located in Kali I, Yahukimo Regency", Kamal explained.

At KKB, Yentinus acts as a translator, liaison, and plays on social media. In addition, he was also involved in a stone burning event at Kali Braza which was attended by the Yahukimo KKB group led by Tendius Gwijangge.

Several pieces of evidence were also seized by officers during the arrest. For example, 5 electronic ID cards of An Nus Haselo, Stephanus Pangalerang, Rutin Please, and Delius Gwijangge, SIM C (driver's license) and BPJS card in the name of Stephanus Pangalerang, BRI ATM, 1 bullet caliber 45 ACP, 1 bullet casing 5.56 caliber, 1 Amazone card, 3 pieces of coupons, money as much as IDR 75 thousand.

"After the arrests made, the Kamtibmas situation in Yahukimo Regency is safe and conducive, community activities continue as usual", said Kamal, who is also the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police.
