General Andika, Who Became A Candidate For TNI Commander In Chief, Was Angry When He Knew There Was A Cut In Student Salaries

JAKARTA - Last August, the Chief of Army Staff (Kasad), General TNI Andika Perkasa, was angry at a meeting. He received information that there had been a cut in the salaries of training students.

The name Andika Perkasa became a hot topic of discussion today, Wednesday, November 3rd. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has chosen the former Danpaspamres as the sole candidate for the next TNI Commander in Chief to replace TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto.

General Andika will soon follow the fit and proper test by the Indonesian Parliament before being officially appointed as the number one person in the Indonesian military institution.

He has also submitted the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) before facing parliament.

Launching information released by the e-LHKPN website, Wednesday, November 3, it was known that the son-in-law of General Retired. AM Hendropriyono has a total wealth of IDR 179.9 billion. This figure is an accumulation of cash equivalents of IDR 126.9 billion.

Then, 20 building units worth IDR 38.1 billion. Interestingly, several properties belonging to General Andika are located overseas.

Back to the problem when Andika was angry. The Army Monitoring and Evaluation Team (Wasev) found irregularities in the use of the budget for Infantry NCO Vocational Education (Dikjurbaif) and Infantry Tamtama Vocational Education (Dikjurtaif) Phase II FY. 2020. The findings are found in every Training and Combat Education Depot (Dodiklatpur) in the entire Kodam Main Regiment (Rindam).

This finding was reported to Andika. Starting from cutting student salaries that are used for personal interests, cutting food budgets, adding budgets that are deliberately held for personal interests, and so on.

"Anyway, all money must be returned", said Kasad as seen from the TNI AD YouTube, last Thursday, August 5, 2021.

"If it has been returned, we must have proof that it has been returned by transfer, I don't want cash, look for the account number, including the data on which soldiers are on duty", continued Andika.

All individuals from Rindam and Dodiklatpur who are involved in the misuse of the Dikjurbaif and Dikjurtaif budgets will be rewarded. This applies to all commanders because for Andika they must know this matter.

“All commanders, I think they know, that the military discipline law is minimally reprimanded with administrative consequences, all Kodam (Military Area Command) do rotations. If they don't return the money, they will be immediately criminalized", he said.
