Anies Asks Companies To Give Hindu Employees A Leave To Celebrate Deepavali 5132 Kaliyuga

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan asked all leaders of companies, offices, institutions, or private bodies to provide opportunities for their employees who are Hindu ethnic Indians in the capital to celebrate Deepavali Day 5132 Kaliyuga.

This is stated in the appeal of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 14 of 2021 concerning the Granting of Facultative Holidays for Deepavali 5132 Kaliyuga.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government calls on the leaders of companies/offices/institutions/private bodies to provide opportunities for ethnic Indian Hindus in DKI Jakarta Province to commemorate Deepavali Day," Anies said as quoted from the Governor's Call (Sergub), Wednesday, October 3.

Deepavali Day 5132 Kaliyuga falls on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Anies asked that this celebration be carried out with due observance of the COVID-19 health protocols.

Then, Anies also asked private companies to provide facultative holidays on Thursday, November 4 to their employees to commemorate the holiday.

This is in accordance with the letter from the Director-General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religion Number B.4862/DJ.VI/BA.03.1/11/2020 regarding the 2021 Facultative Holiday.

Then, according to the letter of the General Chairperson of the DPP Gema Sadhanan Number 007/GS/Deepvali/ASK/X/2021 concerning the Circular of the Deepavali Facultative Holiday.
