Head To Head Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno In The Presidential Election? Muzani: Gerindra's Only Candidate For President Is Prabowo Subianto

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party invites the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees as well as the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

This is after volunteers in several regions have declared Sandiaga as a presidential candidate in 2024.

"Yes, it's okay," said Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani to reporters, Wednesday, November 3.

However, Muzani emphasized that there was only one presidential candidate from Gerindra, namely General Chair Prabowo Subianto.

"There is only one presidential candidate from the Gerindra Party, his name is Prabowo Subianto," said the chairman of the Gerindra faction in the House of Representatives (DPR).

When asked about the declaration of a duet between the Prabowo pair and the chairman of the DPR who is also the chairman of the PDIP Central Executive Board (DPP), Puan Maharani, Muzani admitted that he did not know.

Because, he said, Gerindra is currently concentrating on holding a national consolidation to strengthen parties towards the 2024 Simultaneous Election.

"I don't know. Gerindra didn't do that, now we are concentrating on internal consolidation to strengthen the party," said Muzani.

Muzani emphasized that the remaining 2.5 years must be used by Gerindra to win the party. And make Prabowo Subianto president in 2024.

"The remaining two and a half years must be maximized, so that's what we are doing. We are also working on how Pak Prabowo can really become a presidential candidate in 2024," said Muzani.
