Washing His Hands In The Garden, The Chairman Of The Bangka DPRD Was Bitten By A 2 Meter Crocodile, Lucky To Be Able To Escape

MERAWANG - The head of the Bangka DPRD (Regional House of Representatives), Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Iskandar, was bitten by a crocodile in the left leg. Luckily, Iskandar survived after fighting back by waving his legs.

According to Iskandar, the accident that happened to him occurred on Monday, November 1 afternoon at around 17.00 WIB in a water ditch located in his palm oil plantation in Merawang. The size of the crocodile is approximately two meters.

"The crocodile managed to bite my left leg but it wasn't too bad. It happened when I was about to wash my hands in a water ditch after I finished spreading palm fertilizer", said Iskandar in Merawang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.

He said he did not expect that in the ditch there was a crocodile that was approximately two meters long. Because he often washes his hands or feet after doing work activities in the garden.

"I screamed for help when the crocodile tried to bite my leg, as a result, there was a wound on the leg with torn pants from the crocodile bite", he explained.

According to him, he has received medical treatment by the medical team at the Depati Bahrin Sungailiat hospital and is sufficient with road treatment.

"I have invited the crocodile handler to make arrests this afternoon and it is estimated that there is more than one crocodile in the ditch", he said.
