Ganjar Wants To Awaken Silent Majority

JAKARTA - Chairman of the East Java PDI-P DPD, Said Abdullah, said that presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo conveyed a message to the silent majority voter when starting the grand campaign period at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo, East Java, Sunday, January 21.

"There are several things that underlie, so East Java is chosen to be the place to start the first day of the grand campaign period for the pair of vice presidential candidates Ganjar-Mahfud. Especially conveying messages to the silent majority voters," he said, Sunday, January 21.

He explained that silent voters are those who are not involved in supporting the support of presidential and vice-presidential candidates on social media or public spaces. Silent majority is a voter who secretly observes using his feelings and conscience to determine the candidate for leader of this country.

"Observing his track record, his series of nomination processes, to how the candidates greet and treat the people," said Said.

"Secretly, the people recorded a track record, observing the behavior and appropriateness of the potential leaders. Also how the blusukan candidates, being late in listening to the aspirations of the people and quickly providing solutions. And this is all with Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud MD," he continued.

Said said Ganjar's desire to revive the silent majority was driven by the legendary Indonesian band, Slank, which officially supports the Ganjar-Mahfud pair. In that declaration, Slank stated that they are one of the representations of the silent majority group in Indonesia.

"Of course the Ganjar-Mahfud pair also hopes that other silent majority groups can follow in Slank's footsteps in supporting them," concluded Said Abdullah.
