JAKARTA - Apple plans to launch iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura on 24 October. If nothing goes wrong, the new operating system will bring the most needed features of the user.

The features brought include editing and deletion of iMessage, better search capabilities in Mail, passkey support in Safari and a new Weather app with a large screen and a redesigned Home app.

Then, there is also enhanced gamepad support. Both iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will also get Stage Manager features. This feature offers multitasking work where it can automatically set apps and windows.

Initially, Stage Manager was only embedded in devices running the M1 chip, namely the iPad Air or Pro and actual external display support, something the iPad hasn't had since its 2010 launch.

However, at the end of September, Apple expanded Stage Manager compatibility to the iPad Pro 2018 and 2020 models with A12X and A12Z processors but delayed multi-monitoring support to the next update. Several developers and researchers have indicated Stage Manager in the latest beta is still problematic and prone to crashes.

Launching TechCrunch, Wednesday, October 19, MacOS Ventura is also equipped with a feature called Continuity Camera, users can use the iPhone as a webcam when they download Venturas on macOS and iOS 16 on compatible devices.

Along with the announcement, Apple will also launch a new iPad Pro M2 on October 26. The device gets an update on specifications that ranges from the M1 chip to the M2.

The new chip covers eight CPU cores, with an increase in performance of about 15 percent. The GPU itself is 10 core, with a performance increase of 35 percent.
