Gaza Communication Terdepat, Elon Musk Bantu Lewat Starlink

JAKARTA - The communication line in Gaza was also affected by the Israeli attack. Seeing this condition, Elon Musk intervened to provide assistance through Starlink.

On Saturday morning, news of the interruption of communication networks in Gaza caused many to voice their concerns. They fear the safety of many souls of innocent people.

Hours later, Musk was seen commenting on one of the accounts that voiced his concerns. Musk promised network assistance from his internet satellite, Starlink.

"Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza," Musk said via his X account, previously Twitter, personally.

However, in a different upload, Musk revealed the obstacles of the Starlink network assistance. He said no party asked for a Starlink network connection in the Gaza region.

Despite these obstacles, Musk stated that SpaceX's Starlink will support communications network assistance, but still through internationally recognized organizations.

"We will support the United Nations and other recognized aid groups internationally," he added. Musk also made the same statement this morning.

The SpaceX owner confirmed that he would provide immediate connectivity assistance, but there must be a Starlink terminal in Gaza trying to connect.

However, when Musk said that SpaceX would conduct a security check first with the governments of the United States (US) and Israel, the public response began to be divided into two.

Some feel it's legal to do, but some disagree because the party that damaged Gaza's network is Israel. Many of them believe that Israel will not allow a single terminal to be turned on.

For information, Starlink is an internet satellite owned by SpaceX, a commercial space company. Starlink seeks to build communication networks to various corners of the world.

Currently, Starlink satellites have launched nearly 5,000 units and they have permission to launch 12,000 satellites. With this number, Starlink is the largest satellite constellation in orbit.
