Amazon is now presenting easier newpasskeys, authentication method. Passkeys support is pinned on the timeline and on their mobile apps.

Now, Amazon users can directly enter the application or situationline only with device biometric authentication. After that, users can immediately shop freely.

Amazon is already planning to replace its two-factor authentication (2FA) via email or this short message service (SMS) with apasskeys at the start of the month, but they are not ready for the change themselves.

At that time, the situation still required 2FA andpasskeys to be fully activated in the mobile application. However, now the problem has been resolved and thepasskeys can already be used.

To enable passkeys on Amazon, users need to have an account first. After that, visit account settings and click Login & Security. Then, click the Prepare button next toPasskeys.

So far,passkeys are available on devices with iOS support. Amazon hasn't provided details on the release time on Android, but they say that thepasskeysakan is coming soon for its users.

Usingpasskeys, users can log in to their application only by verifying identity data such as facial biometrics or fingerprints and device passwords.
