YouTube Wants To Develop Song Cover Creator Tool With AI-Based Artist Voices

JAKARTA - Currently, using the voice of an artist to sing songs with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is very easy, but this can be problematic because there is no legality in it.

Therefore, YouTube strives to be at the forefront of this ability. Reportedly, YouTube will develop AI-based tools capable of legally producing vocals of music artists.

With this ability, YouTube users can use the voices of artists they enjoy to sing any other musician's song, usually known ascover of songs.

Quoting from Gizmodo, this YouTube tool does not yet have a name. However, YouTube plans to train this tool with the songs they legally get from its own artist label.

A number of labels have reportedly not signed the artist list rights. If the problem comes from the artist's label, the tool that YouTube is designing will be far from launch.

So far, the labels involved in the AI-based tool design are Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group.

This tool that will be created by YouTube may bring benefits to both parties, fans and singers. Fans no longer need to search for or buy songs made with AI just to hear the artist's voice.

After all, the act of buying AI-based song content is very illegal and detrimental to the artist. Therefore, the tools that YouTube will develop are expected to benefit the artist regardless of his freely used voice.
