XRP Now Can Be Used As Payment Method In Roblox Games

JAKARTA - In the midst of Bitcoin cs price fluctuations, interesting news came from BitPay, a leading cryptocurrency payment service provider. BitPay has just formed a partnership with Xsola, a global video game trading company, to integrate XRP crypto.

This move allows XRP (Ripple) to be used as a payment method for playing games, such as Smitegame and Roblox. This news is certainly a breath of fresh air for gamers, because now they can use XRP as a payment method to play and enjoy their favorite games.

Xsolla, founded in 2005, has played an important role in the gaming industry by providing tools that help game developers monetize, distribute and launch their work around the world. The partnership began in 2014 when Xsola began accepting Bitcoin payments via BitPay.

Xsolla manages payment platforms for online gaming like Roblox, which has more than 200 million monthly active users. Roblox achieved huge financial success with game transactions reaching nearly $773 million (approximately IDR 12.1 trillion) in the first quarter of 2023.

BitPay will facilitate XRP integration, ensuring game platform users can easily use XRP with their cryptocurrency wallets. In September 2023, BitPay announced that Xsola would be one of the first merchants to receive PayPal USD (PYUSD) for online transactions.

Although previously BitPay temporarily suspended the use of XRP following the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple, with XRP's classification as non-security by the court, XRP was re-introduced in August.

Apart from BitPay, more than 30 other traders also accept XRP as payment method. These cryptocurrencies have been integrated by other companies such as FCF Pay and Coinflip, allowing thousands of traders around the world to receive XRP in their transactions. This is an important step in supporting the growth of cryptocurrency use in various sectors.
