JAKARTA - Snapchat announced that now the social network is allowing websites to embed (embed) public content, including Lens, Spotlight videos, Public Stories, and Public Profiles.

"Today, we are launching a web embedding for Lens, Spotlight videos, Public Stories, and Public Profiles. We are pleased to see the creativity of our community on display, and embedding makes it easier to share Snapchat content in articles or websites," the company wrote in its announcement quoted Wednesday, October 18.

If you want to pin Lens, Spotlight videos, public stories, or Profiles from Snapchat.com to online media, follow the following steps:

Copy the link from Lens, story, or profile you want to embed, then open it in your computer browser, or search for it on Snapchat.com. Next tap the'strengthen/embed' icon on the share sheet and copy the code

"This content will then be linked to the Snapchat website and app, where you can learn more, try Lens yourself, or find similar experiences," the company concluded.

In July 2022, Snapchat's parent company Snap Inc. makes its website more useful for users with core features such as the ability to send messages and Snaps.

Initially, this feature was only available to Snapchat+ users in the United States, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. However, the company finally launched it to all global users in September 2022.

The ability to embed or embed content from social media to websites has actually been done earlier by Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok.

With this new capability, Snap hopes this step will direct more traffic to apps and websites.
