Twitch Now Prevents Blocked Users From Watching Live Broadcasts

Twitch is now rolling out a feature that allows content creators or streamers to prevent users they have previously blocked from watching their live broadcasts.

Previously, Twitch users who had been blocked by streamers could only not participate in chats, but they could still watch live broadcasts. But now, that feature has been upgraded.

"Thanks to input from the community, we are starting to launch an option for streamers to prevent blocked users from watching their live stream," the company wrote in its announcement on platform X, quoted Friday, October 13.

To enable this feature, Twitch says that streamers can do it in the Moderation settings in their Creator Dashboard.

However, it should also be noted that Twitch only prohibits users and not IP addresses, so the blocked user may be able to register a new account with a new username via a new email address.

This feature has started rolling out, but Twitch says it may take some time before it can finally reach all accounts globally.

The company added that this update was launched over time, so some people got it faster than others.
